1200mm Bathroom Vanities

1200mm is where vanities get interesting: it’s the first width that genuinely offers a choice between a double basin or a single bowl with a sweep of bench space. For family bathrooms and larger ensuites, it’s the width we recommend most often at our Malaga showroom.

One basin or two?

A double basin at 1200mm works, but it’s snug — two people sharing works best from 1500mm up. Many customers choose a single offset or centred basin instead, keeping over half the top as clear bench. Think about how the bathroom is actually used at 7am before deciding.

Does a 1200mm vanity fit a double basin?
Yes, though it’s compact — for two people using it at once, 1500mm is more comfortable. A single basin with extra bench is the popular choice at 1200mm.

How much wall do I need?
Allow at least 1300mm of clear wall, and check door swings and shower screens won’t clash with drawers.
