In a genuinely tight room, a small wall hung vanity is usually the winner — the visible floor beneath makes the space feel larger and cleaning easier. A compact floor standing vanity gives more drawer depth for the same width and suits walls where in-wall plumbing is not practical. Either way, check door and drawer clearances against the swing of the bathroom door before settling on a width.
