The Axin Universal Basin Plug and Waste is a solid brass pop up waste that fits most standard basin outlets. Press the mushroom head to close it, press again to open it. There is no lever, no rod and nothing to connect behind the basin, which makes it the simplest waste to fit and the easiest to clean. It is backed by a 20 year replacement warranty.
It comes in five finishes to match current tapware ranges: Chrome, Brushed Nickel, Brushed Gold, Gun Metal and Matte Black. Matching the waste to the tap is the small detail that makes a basin look finished, and with five finishes here it is easy to do.

Overflow or non overflow
Basin wastes come in two types, and the right one depends on the basin, not the tap. A basin with an overflow hole near the rim needs an overflow waste, which has slots in the body that let water from the overflow channel drain away. A basin with no overflow, which includes most above counter vessel basins, needs a non overflow waste with a solid body. Fit the wrong type and the basin either leaks at the overflow or the waste never seals properly. Check the basin’s spec sheet, or look for the small hole under the rim, before ordering. If you are unsure, tell us which basin you have and we will match the waste for you.
Fitting is straightforward. The waste drops through the outlet from above, the nut and washer tighten from below, and the tail connects to a standard 32mm bottle trap or P trap. Use the supplied rubber washers rather than silicone on the seal so the waste can be removed for cleaning later.
