Towel Rails

Heated towel rails do two jobs in a Perth bathroom: they keep towels dry through winter and they cut the damp smell that comes from towels that never fully dry. QA Bathroom Warehouse stocks 104 towel rails and rail systems at our Malaga warehouse.
Heated or non-heated
A non-heated rail is simply a fixing point and costs very little. A heated rail runs at low wattage and is generally left on, or put on a timer so it runs for a few hours around shower time. In a bathroom with limited ventilation a heated rail makes a noticeable difference to how the room smells and how quickly it dries out.
Hardwired or plug-in
Plug-in rails need a power point positioned outside the zone around the shower and are the simpler retrofit. Hardwired rails give a cleaner wall with no visible cord but need an electrician and are best decided before the tiling goes on. Either way the switch position needs to comply with the wet-area rules for your bathroom.
Sizing and layout
Count the towels the bathroom actually has to dry, not the ones on display. A single ladder rail handles one or two bath towels; a family bathroom usually needs a wider ladder or a second rail. Leave clearance so towels hang without touching the floor or the door swing.
