Sink Mixers

Choosing a spout
A tall gooseneck gives clearance for filling pots and washing trays, which matters most with a deep single bowl. A lower spout suits a window behind the sink where a tall mixer would foul the sash. Pull-out and pull-down heads make rinsing a double bowl and cleaning the sink itself much easier, and are worth the extra over a fixed spout for most kitchens.
Practical checks
Confirm the swivel range covers both bowls if you have a double sink, and check the spout reaches past the centre of the bowl so water does not run down the back. Filtered water taps need the under-bench space for a cartridge housing. WELS ratings apply here as they do in the bathroom.
