Vanities

The vanity sets the character of a bathroom and does most of the storage work, so it is usually the first thing to choose and the hardest to change later. QA Bathroom Warehouse holds 241 vanities at our Malaga warehouse in Perth, in sizes from compact 600mm units through to 1800mm doubles.
Wall hung or floor standing
Wall Hung Vanities are the larger part of our range. Lifting the cabinet off the floor makes a small bathroom read as bigger, leaves the floor clear to mop, and lets you set the bench at a height that suits you. They do need the wall noggings and plumbing set before the tiling goes on, so they suit a renovation being planned rather than a straight swap.
Floor Standing Vanities sit on the floor and are the simpler replacement if you are working around existing plumbing. They also give you a little more internal storage for the same width. Powder Room Vanities cover the narrow units that suit a guest toilet where depth is tight, and matching storage covers tallboys and side cabinets that pick up the same finish.
Sizing
600mm and 750mm suit most main bathrooms and ensuites. 900mm gives a noticeably more generous bench without much extra footprint. Double bowls generally need 1500mm or more to be comfortable in use. Measure the door swing and any towel rail before settling on a width, and check whether your waste is floor or wall set, because that decides which cabinets will fit without modification.
Tops and basins
Most vanities come with a ceramic or stone top. Stone handles heat and marks better and feels more substantial; ceramic is lighter on price and simpler to clean around the bowl. If you would rather choose the bowl separately, see Basins.
