A twin shower puts an overhead rose and a handheld on the same set of controls, and it is the most practical shower you can put in a family bathroom. You get the drench of the overhead when you want it and a handheld for washing children, rinsing the dog, or cleaning the shower itself without soaking the room. Twin rail or twin system
A twin rail shower runs the handheld on a slide rail so the height adjusts for whoever is using it, with the overhead fixed above. A twin shower system is the fixed-arm version, where both heads sit at set positions and the look is cleaner. Rails are more flexible day to day; fixed systems suit a minimal bathroom where the rail would read as clutter.

What to check before you buy
Twin showers need a diverter to switch between the two heads. Some units include it and some rely on a separate shower mixer diverter in the wall, so confirm which you are looking at before you order. Water pressure is the other consideration: a large overhead rose needs decent flow behind it to feel like anything, and if your pressure is modest a smaller rose will perform better than a big one. Check the overall height too, since a tall overhead in a bathroom with a low ceiling leaves no room to adjust.
