Basins

The basin is where the bathroom gets used hardest, and the mounting style decides both how the bench looks and how easy it is to keep clean. QA Bathroom Warehouse stocks 109 basins at our Malaga warehouse in Perth.
Mounting styles
Above Counter Basins sit on top of the bench and make the strongest visual statement, though they need a taller or wall-mounted mixer to clear the rim. Undermount Basins fix beneath a stone top and leave an unbroken bench you can wipe straight into the bowl, which is the easiest of all to clean. Inset Basins drop into a cut-out with the rim sitting proud, and Semi Inset Basins project forward of the cabinet to give more usable bench behind. Wall Hung Basins carry no cabinet at all and suit a powder room where floor space is tight. Concrete Basins bring texture and colour that ceramic cannot match.
Matching a mixer
Above counter bowls usually need either a tall basin mixer or a wall spout. Check the distance from the tap hole to the bowl centre so the water lands where it should rather than against the back of the bowl. See Basin Mixers for the matching range.
