Description
The Above Counter Basin with 1 Tap Hole is a vessel basin that carries its own tap. A single hole is formed at the back of the basin, so a standard deck mounted basin mixer sits on the ceramic rather than on the vanity top. That means no tap hole to cut in the bench, no need for a tall mixer, and a tap that sits close to the bowl where the water is meant to land. It suits slim vanities where there is no depth behind the basin for a separate mixer.
At 430mm wide, 390mm front to back and 135mm high it is a mid sized basin that fits a 600mm vanity with room either side. The glaze is gloss white vitreous china. The vanity top needs only a 32mm hole for the pop up waste.

Why choose a vessel basin with a tap hole
Most above counter basins leave the tap to you, and that usually means one of two things: a tall mixer set into the vanity top behind the bowl, or a wall mixer with the plumbing run inside the wall. Both work, but both cost more than a plain basin mixer, and the tall mixer needs bench depth behind the basin that a slim vanity does not have.
A basin with its own tap hole avoids all of that. The mixer is a standard one, the hoses drop straight through the basin and the vanity top, and the whole thing fits on a vanity as shallow as 450mm. It is also the easy answer for a renovation where the existing top has no tap hole and you do not want to cut one.
Set the basin out so the mixer handle can swing without hitting the wall or the mirror, seal the basin to the top with silicone once the waste is fitted, and match the pop up waste to the mixer finish.
