Description
The Rectangular Basin is a gloss white above counter basin with clean, straight lines. It sits on top of the vanity or stone bench rather than in a cutout, so the top runs unbroken beneath it and the basin stands as a simple white shape against the joinery. There is no tap hole, so the mixer goes on the wall above the basin or into the vanity top behind it.
At 480mm wide and 370mm deep it suits a vanity top of about 460mm deep or more, leaving room behind for a tall mixer, and the 135mm height keeps the rim at a workable level once it is on the bench. The bowl is rectangular with softened corners, which is easy to wipe out, and the whole piece is vitreous china with a fired gloss white glaze.

About above counter basins without a tap hole
A normal vessel basin has no tap hole. The mixer either goes on the wall or into the vanity top behind the bowl, and that second option needs room: the mixer body, the flexible hoses under the bench and a clear run for the spout to reach over the rim. On a vanity under about 460mm deep there is often not enough space, and a tall mixer squeezed in behind ends up hitting the wall or the mirror.
For this basin, plan the tap first. On a deeper vanity, a tall basin mixer behind the bowl with a spout at least 60mm above the 135mm rim works well. On a shallow vanity, a wall mixer and spout set about 100mm above the rim keeps the bench clear and lands water in the centre of the bowl.
When you set it out, leave the basin far enough from the wall for the mixer handle to swing. Seal the underside of the basin to the top with a bead of silicone once the waste is fitted and the basin is square to the front edge.
