Description
The Above Counter Square Basin (6048) is the small square in our vessel range. It measures 360mm each way and stands just 110mm high, so it fits on a 600mm vanity or a narrow powder room top with bench space left either side. The low height keeps the rim at a sensible level once the basin is on the bench, and the square shape lines up with flat panel cabinets and rectangular mirrors.
The glaze is gloss white vitreous china. There is no tap hole, so the mixer goes on the wall above the basin or into the vanity top beside it. Only a 32mm waste hole is cut in the top, which suits china, laminate and stone.

About compact vessel basins
In a small bathroom the basin is often the first thing to shrink, and a compact above counter basin is a better answer than a tiny inset bowl. Because it sits on top of the vanity, the cabinet below keeps its full depth for storage, and the vanity top stays as a usable shelf around the basin rather than being mostly cutout.
At 360mm the bowl is still a working size for hand washing and brushing teeth. Keep the height low, as this one is at 110mm, so the rim finishes around 950mm off the floor on a standard vanity. Any taller and shorter family members end up reaching up to the tap.
The mixer choice follows from the size. A wall mixer keeps the small bench clear, while a tall mixer beside the basin works if the vanity is at least 600mm wide. Either way, match the pop up waste to the tap finish so the room reads as one set.
