Tapware is the detail people notice first and touch every day, so it is worth getting right. QA Bathroom Warehouse carries 288 tapware pieces across bathroom, kitchen and laundry at our Malaga warehouse in Perth, from single-lever basin mixers through to floor-standing bath fillers.

Types of bathroom tapware

Basin Mixers are the largest part of the range and suit most bench-mounted basins. Wall Basin/Bath Mixers pair a wall spout with a separate mixer for a cleaner benchtop and easier cleaning. In the shower, Shower Mixers handle simple single-outlet setups, while Shower Mixer Diverters let you run a rail shower and an overhead from the same control. Outlets covers spouts and wall outlets, and Floor Standing Bath Mixers suit freestanding baths set away from a wall.

Choosing a finish

Chrome remains the most forgiving and the easiest to match with existing fittings. Matte black gives strong contrast against white and timber but shows water spotting in hard water areas, which is worth thinking about across Perth. Brushed nickel and brushed gold hide marks better than polished finishes, and gunmetal sits between the two. Where a finish is applied by PVD it is considerably harder wearing than a standard coating.

Before you buy

Check the WELS star rating if water use matters to you, confirm your tap hole spacing and basin depth so the spout clears the bowl, and decide early between wall-mounted and bench-mounted, since that choice affects rough-in plumbing. If you are matching an existing bathroom, bring a photo or the old fitting in with you.
