The Nero Mecca Wall Basin/Bath Mixer Separate Back Plate 185mm Trim Kit Only is the visible trim for a Mecca wall-mounted basin or bath outlet — with the handle and spout each on their own separate cover plate, rather than a single round plate covering both. The separated layout gives a cleaner, more architectural look and lets the handle sit at a different height to the spout. Supplied without the in-wall rough-in body — choose this version when the rough-in is already plumbed in.

About separate back plate wall mixers

Separate back plate mixers split what is normally one round cover plate into two — one plate around the handle and another around the spout — so the two elements can sit at different positions on the wall. The look is more considered and architectural than a single round plate, and it gives more flexibility for matching the spout height to the basin and the handle height to the user. Behind the wall the plumbing is identical to the round-plate version, so the same Nero Mecca rough-in body works for either trim style.

For wall mixers, spout projection determines how far water lands from the wall. Mecca separate-back-plate trim kits are made for 120mm, 160mm, 185mm and 230mm projections — this 185mm version is best suited to most common basin layouts where a moderate reach is preferred. The round-plate trim is also available for the cleaner, more traditional look.
