Description
The Nero SS316L 35mm Premium Universal Shower Mixer Body Only is the in-wall plumbing body for a Nero wall-mounted mixer trim kit — the brass (or stainless) body that gets plumbed into the wall, pressure-tested and tiled over. A separate trim kit (handle, cover plate, spout) screws onto this body once the tiling is finished. Universal 35mm cartridge sizing means most Nero 35mm trim kits — Mecca, Bianca, Zen, York, Pure — will fit this rough-in.

About rough-in bodies
Every wall-mounted Nero mixer is a two-piece system — a rough-in body plumbed into the wall cavity before tiling, plus a trim kit that screws onto the body after the wall is tiled. The rough-in body is the engineering half — Standard, never-visible — and the trim kit is the design half (cover plate, handle, spout) that gets specified in your choice of finish and lever style.
Nero rough-in bodies come in three grades: Premium (residential, brass), Project (light commercial / multi-residential / project builds, brass), and SS316L (residential or commercial, 316L stainless for coastal and high-humidity wet areas). Most Nero trim kits use the Universal 35mm cartridge sizing, so trim kits across Mecca, Bianca, Zen, York and Pure ranges can fit a Premium or Project rough-in interchangeably.
If you’re renovating without opening up the wall, you don’t need a rough-in — your existing wall mixer rough-in stays in place, and you only need the trim kit. If you’re building or fully re-tiling a wet area, buy the rough-in body separately from the trim kit and have your plumber install it before tiling.
