The Minka Freestanding Basin turns the basin itself into the feature — a floor-standing fluted column in solid surface that needs no vanity beneath it. At 900mm tall with a 450 x 450mm base and a deep 120mm bowl, it suits open, design-led bathrooms and powder rooms where a sculptural centrepiece does the work of a whole vanity. Solid surface is non-porous, warm underhand and repairable, and the seamless moulding means there are no joins to catch grime.

About freestanding basins

Freestanding basins stand directly on the floor as a self-contained column, with no vanity or pedestal beneath. They make a strong architectural statement and suit powder rooms, ensuites and design-led bathrooms where floor space allows a sculptural centrepiece. Because the basin carries its own height, they pair best with floor-mounted basin mixers or wall-mounted mixers set above the bowl.

Solid surface is a cast mineral composite — warm to the touch, non-porous, seamless and repairable. The fluted Minka finishes (Matte White, Matte Black, Dusk and Forest) read as soft and matte rather than glossy, and suit organic-modern, earthy and contemporary palettes. Matte White is the most versatile; Dusk and Forest bring muted colour for a more individual look.

Pair with a 32mm non-overflow waste in your tapware finish. Because there is no overflow, take care not to leave taps running unattended.
