Lauxes 26 x 100mm End Caps close off each end of a Lauxes 26mm deep, 100mm wide linear grate, stopping waste water escaping from the channel and giving the run a neat finished edge. Sold as a pair, they suit the Lauxes NXT 26 and Slimline Tile Insert 26 grates. Made from anodised aluminium with a Lifetime Rustproof Warranty, for indoor showers and outdoor areas alike. Description

Every Lauxes linear grate run needs a pair of end caps. These thin end caps (Lauxes EC26) fit the ends of the 26mm deep, 100mm wide channel, closing the tray so water drains through the outlet instead of escaping at the ends, and finishing the cut ends of the grate after it has been trimmed to length on site.

The caps are made from anodised aluminium in the same colours as the grates, so the whole run matches from end to end. They suit both NXT 26 grates and Slimline Tile Insert 26 grates, indoors in showers and wet rooms or outdoors on balconies and around pools. Order one pair for each separate run of grate. Each straight run has two open ends, so one pair finishes one run, and a second run needs its own pair.

Choosing a linear shower grate

A linear grate runs along one edge of the shower instead of sitting in the middle of the floor, so the floor only needs to fall one way. That makes large format tiles easier to lay, suits walk-in and frameless showers, and looks cleaner than a square centre waste. Linear grates also work on balconies, alfresco areas and around pools, wherever water needs to be caught along a doorway or edge.

There are two main styles. A standard or NXT grate shows a slotted metal top, while a tile insert grate has a tray that takes the same tile as the floor, so the drain almost disappears. Choose a channel deep enough for your tile and bed, and check that the waste outlet size meets the plumbing rules in your state before installing.
