Lauxes Linear Grate Waste Outlet 40mm or 72mm
From $10.80Online Price only — available on orders placed through this website
The Lauxes Waste Outlet sits under a Lauxes linear grate and carries water from the channel into the floor waste pipe. Choose a 40mm or 72mm outlet to suit new or existing plumbing, and fit it anywhere along the bottom tray of the grate. Made by Lauxes from anodised aluminium with a Lifetime Rustproof Warranty, in silver, midnight, gold, brushed nickel and gunmetal to match your grate. Check the outlet size meets your state plumbing requirements before installing.
Description
The waste outlet is the part of a Lauxes linear grate that connects the channel to your plumbing. It fits through the bottom tray of the grate and drops into the floor waste pipe, so water collected along the grate drains straight away. Because the outlet can go anywhere along the tray, the grate can be positioned where it looks best and the outlet lined up with the existing pipe underneath.
We stock the 40mm and 72mm sizes in all five Lauxes colours. The 40mm outlet suits typical shower wastes, while the 72mm outlet suits larger floor wastes and outdoor areas where more water needs to drain. Outlet sizes are set by state and territory plumbing rules, so confirm the right size with your plumber before ordering. Order one outlet for each grate run, plus a pair of end caps.

Choosing a linear shower grate
A linear grate runs along one edge of the shower instead of sitting in the middle of the floor, so the floor only needs to fall one way. That makes large format tiles easier to lay, suits walk-in and frameless showers, and looks cleaner than a square centre waste. Linear grates also work on balconies, alfresco areas and around pools, wherever water needs to be caught along a doorway or edge.
There are two main styles. A standard or NXT grate shows a slotted metal top, while a tile insert grate has a tray that takes the same tile as the floor, so the drain almost disappears. Choose a channel deep enough for your tile and bed, and check that the waste outlet size meets the plumbing rules in your state before installing.
Order grates by the metre and cut them to length on site, then add a pair of end caps and a waste outlet in a matching colour. See Lauxes grates in store at QA Bathroom Warehouse in Malaga, Perth, or ask our team to help work out lengths for your project.
