Description
The Round Above Counter Basin is a compact vessel basin in vitreous china, 360mm in diameter and 110mm high. It sits on top of the vanity or stone bench rather than in a cutout, so the top runs unbroken beneath it and the basin becomes a feature in its own right. There is no tap hole and no overflow, which keeps the rim clean all the way round and leaves the tap choice open.
It comes in three finishes: Gloss White for a classic look, Matte White for a softer, flatter surface that hides water marks, and Matte Black for contrast against a light top or a match with black tapware. All three share the same 360 x 360 x 110mm size, so the vanity cutout for the waste and the tap position do not change between colours.

Getting the tap height right for a vessel basin
Because an above counter basin sits on the bench, its rim ends up 110mm higher than an inset basin in the same vanity. A standard height basin mixer will sit too low beside it and the spout will not clear the rim. Use a tall mixer, sometimes sold as a vessel or high rise mixer, or move the tap onto the wall with a wall mixer and spout. Either way the spout should reach roughly to the centre of the bowl.
The lack of an overflow is normal for this style of basin. It means the waste must be a non overflow pop up, and it is worth having a plug that can be left open when the basin is not in use. On the finish, Matte White and Matte Black show fewer water spots than gloss but like a soft cloth rather than a scourer. All three finishes are fired into the ceramic and will not peel or fade.
