Description
The Square Basin Mixer is the sharpest tap in our basin mixer range. The body is a square column, the spout is a square section and the lever is a flat blade, with no curves anywhere. It suits bathrooms built on straight lines: grid tile layouts, framed shower screens, flat panel vanities and mitred stone tops. Next to a square or rectangular basin it makes the whole vanity read as one set.
It is the standard height version, made for inset, undermount and semi inset basins where the spout does not need to climb over a raised rim. The body is solid brass with a ceramic disc cartridge, which gives a smooth lever action and a drip free shut off, and it mounts through a single hole with flexible braided hoses. It comes in polished chrome, which matches chrome shower sets, wastes and accessories.

For a vessel basin choose the Square Tall Basin Mixer. It pairs with the Inset Basin Square and the Rectangular Basin with tap landing, and the matching Square Shower Combo carries the same lines into the shower. For the rounded alternative see the Lotus Basin Mixer, or browse all basin mixers at our Malaga showroom.
Square or round tapware
Tapware shape sets the tone of a bathroom more than most people expect, because the tap is the one metal object at eye level on every vanity. Square tapware reads as crisp and architectural. It suits large format rectangular tiles, flat panel cabinets, square basins and shower screens with black or chrome frames. Round tapware reads as softer and more traditional, and forgives a mix of shapes elsewhere in the room.
The practical differences are small. A flat blade lever is easy to use with a wrist or the back of a hand. Square spouts and bodies have a few more edges to wipe, so a soft cloth and mild detergent are the right cleaning tools. Inside, the cartridge and connections are the same as the round version.
Whichever you choose, carry it through. Match the basin mixer to the shower mixer, the pop up waste and the accessories, and keep the finish consistent. A square basin mixer next to a round shower set looks like an accident; the same shape throughout looks like a decision.
