The Icon Back to Wall Corner Bath in right hand configuration is a reinforced acrylic bath with one straight back to wall edge, a second straight edge along the right hand return wall, and a soft rounded outer corner on the opposite end. The gloss white surface keeps the visual line clean, and the back to wall fit reclaims corner space that a fully freestanding bath would leave stranded.

Three sizes cover most Australian bathrooms — 1400mm for a compact ensuite, 1500mm as the common main bathroom size, and 1700mm where there is room to stretch out. Check the handing before ordering: this is the right hand version, with the return wall on your right as you face the bath.

About back to wall corner baths

A back to wall corner bath is a compromise in the best sense. A fully freestanding bath needs clearance on all four sides and a floor mounted bath filler, which eats a surprising amount of a normal Australian bathroom. A corner bath keeps the sculptural outer curve where you can see it and pushes the two hidden sides hard against the walls, so you recover the dead space behind and beside the tub.

Because two edges sit against the wall, the tapware can be wall mounted above the bath rather than floor mounted, which is both cheaper to plumb and easier to clean around. The waste and overflow sit in the standard position, so the rough in is closer to a conventional inset bath than to a true freestanding one.

Reinforced acrylic is the practical material choice for a bath this size. It is warm to the touch, holds heat far better than steel or cast iron, and weighs little enough that two people can position it — which matters when the bathroom is upstairs. The gloss surface wipes clean and resists staining from the usual bathroom products.
