Description
The Icon Free Standing Bath No Overflow is the smooth version of our back to wall corner bath, made without the overflow hole near the rim. It sits flat against the back wall and one side wall, with the other side and the rounded outer corner finished in smooth gloss white. Inside it is one uninterrupted surface with a gentle backrest slope at both ends.
Choose the length and the hand at checkout. The 1500 x 750mm has a 450mm deep bathing well; the 1700 x 800mm is 460mm deep. Both are 580mm high. Left hand means the closed side goes against the left wall when you stand at the foot of the bath facing the back wall; right hand is the mirror image. The shell is reinforced acrylic and the 50mm centre waste connects through the floor. With no overflow, the bath needs a no overflow plug and waste and the fill is controlled by the person running it.

Corner baths without an overflow
A corner bath uses two walls, so it fits a room that could not take a bath standing clear of the walls, and the tap can go on either wall or on the floor at the open end. Taking the overflow away simplifies the plumbing further: the only connection is the 50mm waste under the centre of the bath, which is roughed in to the drawing before the floor is tiled.
The reasons to choose no overflow are practical and visual. Practically, some floors cannot be opened up enough to run the overflow line, and some renovations reuse an existing drain position that does not suit it. Visually, the inside of the bath is one clean surface with no chrome ring near the rim. The trade off is that nothing stops the bath overfilling, so it suits households that run the bath and stay with it.
The waste must be a no overflow type, because a standard bath waste has an overflow connection that would be left open. Tile and seal both walls before the bath goes in, sit it into the corner and run silicone along both closed edges.
