Description
The Azuro Oval Bath is a freestanding oval with a softer, more sculpted profile than the Esta. The sides slope gently inward as they meet the floor, so the bath reads as one smooth form with no visible plinth, and the top edge is a fine, even rim all the way round. The inside is a rounded oval with a gentle backrest slope at both ends, so it can be used either way round.
It comes in 1500mm and 1700mm lengths. The 1500mm is 800mm wide and suits ensuites and family bathrooms; the 1700mm is 850mm wide with a longer, wider bathing well for a main bathroom. Both are 580mm high with a 440mm deep bathing well, so the water depth is the same and the choice comes down to the room. The shell is reinforced acrylic in gloss white, and the 50mm centre waste connects through the floor. There is no overflow outlet, so the inside is one clean surface and the bath takes a no overflow plug and waste.

Flush floor baths and where they work best
Most freestanding baths sit on a plinth or a set of feet, which leaves a shadow line at the floor. A flush floor bath like the Azuro meets the floor with its own sloping skirt, so there is no gap underneath to clean and the bath looks like it has grown out of the tiles. It is a calmer look, and it suits rooms with large format tiles or a single floor finish running wall to wall.
The practical side is the same as any freestanding bath. The waste sits under the centre and connects through the floor, so the drain has to be roughed in to the drawing before tiling. Because the skirt meets the floor, the bath is sealed to the tiles with a bead of silicone around the base once it is in position, which also keeps water from getting underneath. With no overflow, the waste under the bath is the only plumbing connection, and it must be a no overflow type.
Allow room around the bath to clean and to get in and out, at least 100mm from any wall and more on the entry side. The Azuro’s wider footprint at 800 to 850mm means a room around 1800mm across is comfortable for the 1500mm bath and 2000mm for the 1700mm.
